On 13th November Professor Allen-Mersh attended the 12th Premex Annual Expert Seminar at the NEC in Birmingham.

On 26th October Professor Allen-Mersh attended an interesting talk at the Royal Society of Medicine entitled “Adding insult to injury – exploring painful recovery from surgery and trauma”.

The current waiting time for a medico-legal appointment at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London is 6-8 weeks. Reports can usually be completed within 1-2 weeks of the appointment taking place.

For full reports not requiring appointments, the waiting time is currently 6 weeks from receipt of all documentation.

Professor Allen-Mersh attended an informative course organised by Bond Solon on 2nd October entitled ‘Discussions between Experts’. This dealt with the preparation required in producing joint experts’ reports in medico-legal cases.

On 11th June Professor Allen-Mersh attended a talk on “Nutrition, Immune System & Health” at the Royal Society of Medicine, and on 4th July he attended a talk entitled “Get over it – advanced recovery after critical illness”, also held at the Royal Society of Medicine.
